Venetian locals must have been overwhelmed on Friday night.
Hollywood
star Matt Damon and his stunning wife Luciana Barroso joined the likes
of Anna Wintour and Emily Blunt for a night out in the Italian city
after George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's wedding rehearsal dinner
wrapped up.
The
star-studded party took a water taxi over to Harry's Bar, which is home
to the Bellini and Carpaccio, and were spotted enjoying a few drinks
together.

It's almost time: Matt Damon and his
wife Luciana Barroso took a water taxi to George Clooney and Amal
Alamuddin's wedding rehearsal dinner
What did the regulars say? Emily
Blunt, Anna Wintour and Hollywood star Matt were all spotted enjoying a
few drinks as they waited for the bride and groom to arrive at local
eatery Da Ivo restaurant
Luciana
stunned in a floral dress featuring a keyhole neckline and an empire
waist, while Matt wore a three-piece suit with a black shirt.
Flower prints seemed to be popular that evening as Ms Wintour also wore a floral print dress with a blue base colour
The Devil Wears Prada star Emily on the other hand opted for a blue and sheer print gown.
While
his famous guests were out enjoying themselves, George was also spotted
getting rather tipsy in another area of the historic city.
Deep in conversation: The star studded party seemed to be getting along famously inside the modest Italian restaurant
Thumbs up: Matt certainly appeared to be impressed by the evening that his famous host had put together
Five star style: The party are all staying at the luxurious Belmond Hotel Cipriani in Venice
Still smitten: Happily married Matt and Luciana held hands as they made their way to the rehearsal dinner
Ladies first: The beautiful Luciana stepped on board the water taxi ahead of her famous husband
Easy does it: Emily
needed a little help to board her water taxi because of her full-length -
and undoubtedly very expensive - dress
How does she do it? Emily cut a super slim figure in her skin-tight designer frock
For
his stag do, the actor spent the night at one of his favourite eateries
Da Ivo restaurant, which is said to be more popular with locals rather
than tourists.
He
was joined by a group of close pals, including his best man Rande
Gerber - husband of supermodel Cindy Crawford - and producing partner
Grant Heslov.
Rande
reportedly bought several bottles of tequila for the group which they
very merrily enjoyed downing in between glasses of vintage red wine.
The
restaurant's owner Giovanni Fracassi is an old friend of George's. So
as his wedding gift to the actor, who has been dining at his restaurant
for over a decade, Giovanni gave the star thousands of pounds worth of
vintage 2010 Sassicaia red wine - which costs up to £250 a bottle.
To say thank you, George scribbled a note on an empty bottle of wine stating that he'd had 'the perfect night'.
Lads on tour: The Hollywood groom hit
the Venetian canals and made his way to Da Ivo restaurant with a crowd
of suited and booted pals
His favourite: George has been going to the exclusively eatery for the past ten years
Close pals: The actor has spent so much time dining at the retsuarant that he is now friends witht the owner Giovanni Fracassi
Giovanni
now proudly has the bottle on display at his restaurant, which will no
doubt bring back fond memories to the actor the next time he stops by.
'It was a low-key celebration, but they said that they had a great time,' the restaurant owner revealed.
'George told me how happy he was that he was getting married.
'There were no speeches but the group enjoyed the occasion and they were all drinking tequila.
'I'm very happy for him, he has been a friend of mine ever since has first started coming here about ten years ago.'
George and his stunning wife-to-be Amal are expected to exchange vows on Monday.
So sweet: Giovanni gave the star
thousands of pounds worth of vintage 2010 Sassicaia red wine - which
costs up to £250 a bottle - as a wedding present
Feeling tipsy? According to Giovanni, George and his pals spent the evening downing red wine and tequila
A happy customer: The Hollywood star left the restaurant owner a note to thank him and say he'd had the 'perfect night'
This
will be the actor's second married, as he previously got hitched to
actress Talia Balsam back in 1989 in a wedding officiated by an Elvis
Presley impersonator in Las Vegas.
No
doubt this time around, the nuptials will be a far more stylish affair,
as it is understood US Vogue secured the rights after bidding well in
excess of £1 million.
However,
there are said to have been further negotiations for a British
celebrity magazine to share the rights with a seven-figure offer being
made.
Either
way, any fee given to the couple will be donated to a charity of their
choice. The couple have already requested that guests do not bring
mobile phones in a bid to prevent unauthorised pictures being leaked
from the event
Red-dy to party! Earlier that night,
Amal looked flawless in her stunning crimson gown, as she made her way
to the wedding rehearsals
