While the
latest crop of X Factor contestants battle it out for the top prize, it
appears that the real tension and drama is going on between the judges.
Simon
Cowell, 55, is said to have 'stormed off' to his dressing room
following Sunday's broadcast of the show, after Mel B, 39, accused one
of his acts of 'cheating' the night before.
Fleur
East performed a rendition of Monie Love's hit It's A Shame on Saturday
night's show which left Scary Spice unimpressed, as she accused the
hopeful of relying too heavily on her backing track.

Vexed Factor: Simon Cowell was
reportedly furious with Mel B, after she accused one of his acts, Fleur
East, of 'cheating' during her performance on Saturday night's episode
of The X Factor
And the attack didn't sit well with acid-tongued judge Simon, head of Fleur's Over-25s category.
A source told The Sun:
'Simon was absolutely furious with Mel over what she said. He has
really moulded Fleur and he thinks she’s got a real chance of winning
the competition, going on to have a great career and ultimately making
him a lot of money.
'There’s
nothing worse than being branded a cheater and even at this stage of
the show, it could be a difficult tag to shake off. Usually after Xtra
Factor the judges will have a bit of a debrief and a chat, but Simon was
so angry he stormed off to his dressing room.
Tough talker: Mel B accused the singing hopeful of relying heavily on her backing track
'Mel
didn’t want to see him either, so she stayed holed up until 1am and
didn’t come out until pretty much everyone had gone home.'
Following
Fleur's performance on Saturday, Mel told her: 'That was a great
performance, the only thing is on that chorus I didn’t hear your voice
pop against the backing track so I found that a little bit like
cheating.'
But Simon immediately blasted the 39-year-old singer's opinion, insisting her verdict was 'unfair'.

Werk it: Fleur East won over the audience with her rendition of Monie Love's 1990s hit It's A Shame
Simon
has also reportedly found himself on the wrong side of fellow judge
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, who is said to be furious after he compared
her look to The Muppets character Kermit the Frog when she wore a green
dress on Saturday night's show.
A
source added: 'Cheryl is absolutely livid with Simon for his Kermit
gag. She considers herself to be a bit of an expert on fashion, so
getting abuse from a man who wears one of about three outfits every day
is a bit much.'
MailOnline has a contacted Simon Cowell's representative for comment.
A
week after Louis Walsh saw his four acts halved to two, Cheryl suffered
the same fate on Sunday, when Stephanie Nala and Chloe-Jasmine
Whichello were booted from the competition.
Hop it! Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is
also said to be less than impressed with Simon, who compared her dres to
The Muppets star Kermit The Frog on Saturday night's episode

Butting heads: The two judges had a lot of disagreements throughout the show
